Truly the Earth has become filthy, foul and stinking, the stench of the sins and wickedness of men has risen up to God’s nostrils. It is vile and men have become repulsive to the Creator.
Gen 6:5-6 “The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth has become and that every inclination of the thought of his heart was only evil all the time. The Lord was grieved that he has made men on the earth and His heart was filled with pain” who wouldn’t?
On the account of the above, it is written that God proclaimed to end and destroy all men and the earth. Gen 6:13 “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth” Gen 6:7 “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for I am grieved that I have made them.” .
Shall we examine END and DESTROY to fully grasp the drift. END in itself means the point where something ceases to exist,the last part of a thing and DESTROY is explained as ending the existence of something by badly damaging it. I ask myself, does God realy mean to end all man and destroy the earth ? I had doubts.
Because Ex 34 : 6-7 said “The Lord, The Lord God compassionate and gracious God ,slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands (Billions), and forgiving wickedness ,rebellion and sin. Yet He does not leave the guilty un-punished, He punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation (children who continue in the sins of their fathers, children who have not come to know Christ ). Psalm 86:15 lends credence to this fact about our Lord, God. It reads “But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God ,slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness”. So does Psalm 11 6:5 Our God is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion”.
God loves man to a fault, we are the most beautiful of all His creation do not forget also, that He created us in His own image. Gen 1:27. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them”. God delights in man.
I put it to you, God did not design man to end, God never intended to end man and He has no plan to destroy the earth. . He didn’t end Adam and Eve, neither did God destroy the garden of Eden, rather, “the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life” .Gen 3:23-24. God could have ended it all right there and then.
Sins, evil and wickedness are the causes of the end and destruction of man ,the end of evil and sinful man is death. Not necessarily physical death, but spiritual death. This is confirmed in the books of Eze 18:4 “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die” and Rom 6:23 “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”
Death is from the devil. Heb 2:14 “Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil”
Gen 18:23-25 “Then Abraham approached Him(God) and said “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it? Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of the entire earth do what is just?”
The Lord our God, in His compassionate, abounding love and faithfulness sorted out the righteous amongst the sinfully unrighteous “Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God” Gen 6:8-9.
Again ! i tell you in the latter days the earth shall be cleansed of all unrighteousness and only the righteous shall be saved ! Gen 7:1 “Then the Lord said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your entire household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this
generation”.
Mat 24:37-39 “as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, this is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man”
Again, i tell you in this present generation, so shall it be ! The earth shall again be cleansed of all idolaterers, fornicators, drunkards, occultist, ritualists, embezzlers thiefs, murderers, adulterers and all forms of unrighteousness that is detestable to God.
We do not have to worry about another flood, but in like manner the evil in this present age will come to an end. Mt 3:12 “His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.”
Hear and heed the call now, come to the light, repent from your sinful ways, reconcile to God, believe in His son Jesus Christ and be saved. Because the scriptures says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” Jn 3:16
The Lord shall grant us understanding in Jesus name… Amen
